| All Together Edinburgh is a social enterprise with charitable status. It was set up in 2010 after recognising that there were very few training opportunities for people with learning disabilities to learn skills that would help them work within the retail/charity retailing sector or customer facing environment.
The funds will contribute towards ‘Reducing loneliness and isolation one Boost Box at a time!’ which is a Training Centre/Charity Shop offering a robust training programme to isolated people of all ages, who have a learning disability. They provide emotional and practical support, and opportunities to gain SQA qualifications, as well as opportunities for socialisation. Trainees help to make up Boost Boxes which are delivered free of charge to people and families across Leith who are isolated, house-bound or frail, or living in poverty. (filled with items of interest, jigsaws, CDs, Vinyl Records, Clothing, toiletries and treats) |
