| Food Sharing Hub | 7,500 | SHRUB Cooperative are a community-led zero waste cooperative, working to make a sustainable lifestyle accessible to everyone. They do this through their Swapshop, Food Sharing Hub, vegan Cafe, events, and our bike shop, The Wee Spoke Hub.
The Food Sharing Hub is a vital service for local community members, offering access to rescued food collected by a network of volunteers, food vendors and food distributors across Edinburgh. The project aims to alleviate food poverty in a dignified way by providing food on a pay-as-you-feel basis and reducing the impact of waste created by the food supply chain – reaching at least 810 users and saving an average of 1.95 tonnes of food per month. |
