| Volunteer Project | 5,000 | The volunteer project will work throughout Edinburgh to deliver therapeutic music sessions to those living with dementia in their own environment, whether this is their own home or residential care setting.
The aim of the project is to bring the community to people who can no longer access services based in the community. Through music and the building of relationships, it will create an opportunity for communication and to hear the story of people living with dementia. The use of music is empowering and unlocks memories that people with a terminal diagnosis can reach when words have left them. The Forget Me Notes Project supports both the individual, family, and the local community. |
