| Good Roots Community Garden Stenhouse | 4,788 | The Community Garden was designed for people of all faiths and none, to build community cohesion, provide food for the community, and support diversionary activities for children, young people, ex-offenders and those who are socially isolated.
A community has built around the garden, with regular attendance from a number of local people, young and old, at gardening sessions, work days and community lunches. Funding was granted to to develop a new space in the garden where being in a wheelchair or having reduced mobility is no barrier to participation and to be able to employ a Community Gardener to run the sessions. |
