| Coming out of Lockdown Re-Connecting Programme for Older People in North East Edinburgh | 5,083 | PDP serves a range of areas within North East Edinburgh Locality with a high proportion of Council homes, older tenants and their families, with whom we work with. These areas include: Leith, Lochend, Craigentinny, Northfield/Willow brae and Craigmillar.
The project will reach socially isolated older people on low incomes, who have been adversely affected or home bound since the outset of COVID-19. Reducing loneliness and social isolation by re-connecting vulnerable people, who may be experiencing multiple barriers to participation, to reconnect with wider community activities which will build social capital, enhance health and wellbeing and reduce social isolation. |
