| FAIR Early Years Advice | 5,000 | FAIR Ltd is an information and advice service for people with learning disabilities, parents, carers and people who work with them in Edinburgh. The charity’s main goal continues to be to promote the welfare of people with learning disabilities in the community.
Funding will go towards the cost of an Early Years Family Advice Worker. The project will work with parent/carers from birth or from the diagnosis of their child with a learning disability, autism or global development delay. This period for parent/carers is extremely difficult and families may have a lot of adjusting to do as they may struggle emotionally and finances can change with some having to give up work or change hours due to their new caring role. |
