The project will offer the support to further education for young people and include them in something that will help further a career path into creative arts, offering support that may not be fulfilled at home or school. The local community will be encouraged to become involved and learn in a supportive environment, allowing participants to take part in events and workshops outwith school hours. Young people will be introduced to artists, designers etc they wouldn’t normally have the chance to meet, and be included in what can sometimes feel like an alien environment. The aim will be to allow participants to explore their creative side; an approach that has been proven to benefit health and wellbeing, particularly for young people who may be experiencing social issues. |
