Slurp’s main objective is to employ young homeless and unemployed individuals, so that they can gain the work experience necessary to enter the job market. After running a series of cooking workshops they will begin selling a range of healthy soups which will help in learning significant employability skills through the running of the business such as cooking, customer service, and accounting skills. Workshops are also held for skills, such as Curriculum Vitae writing. The grant awarded will contribute towards Slurp’s activities. |
