The Open Door Edinburgh

The grant was awarded for the project to run which will provide daycare service for vulnerable older men(60 plus) across Edinburgh who are at risk of social isolation,including individuals with physical, cognitive and sensory impairments and mental health difficulties. It aims to increase companionship and a sense of connectivity and identification;to foster positive health and wellbeing; to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation, and to increase social participation in the wider community. The service will operate as a weekly drop-in for up to 20 individuals.
